Apollo Junction were formed in 2012 by 5 former band rivals with the intention of forming a ‘supergroup’ to write and perform electro, indie, guitar inspired songs infused with tuneful melodies that everyone can dance to.
Early days were spent writing, recording and gigging but 2014-2017 have proved amazing years for Apollo Junction with national and worldwide media exposure through newspapers and radio play of their ‘pop masterpieces’ (Little Indie Blogs) ‘Begin’, ‘If I Fell’, ‘Born For Now’ and ‘This Could Be The Day’..
Apollo Junction “who have secured national airplay despite no record deal” The Times currently DIY everything and have been played on BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 6 Music , XFM. They have received praise by the likes of Steve Lamacq, Janice Long, Chris Hawkins, Graham Norton, Hattie Pearson and Tom Robinson. Moreover, they have also received praised from natuional newspapers The Sun, The Times and The Mirror.
Consistent gigging has led to a dedicated following Apollo Junction were even hailed by The Legendary venue ‘The Dublin Castle’ as ‘The best new band we have had in years!’. This fanbase, radio play and critical acclaim helped them play a series of festivals including the Main Stage at Bingley Music Live and Isle of Wight Festival they shared the stage with James, Cast, Shed Seven, The Beat, Space, Inspiral Carpets, Dodgy, The Feeling, The Sunshine Underground and The Pigeon Detectives.
