Album Review: Witchwood “Litanies From The Woods”

Band: Witchwood
Album: Litanies From The Woods

Witchwood’s 2015 release, Litanies From The Woods, reflects a deep appreciation for all that is cool about progressive rock music. Songs filled with B3 runs, Flute trills, Mandolin’s, gritty vocals and smooth guitar work backed by a solid rhythm section.

Hints of Led Zeppelin, Black Crows, and Joe Cocker at times, then little tastes of ELP, Yes and Kansas, keep your ears happy and brain engaged.

The quality of musicianship is very evident in the degree of difficulty that this music demonstrates to the listener.

If you are a fan of the 70’s progressive bands, you will most certainly enjoy these tracks.
Ricky, Andy, Steve, Sam and Luca have done a fine job morphing so many styles and tones of the progressive scene into one cohesive sound.
Check it out, but, make sure you have your air drums and guitars ready to do some shredding!

Similar styles : It’s a beautiful day, Kansas, yes, ELP, Joe Cocker, Led Zeppelin, Jet.
