Album Review: Everlost US “Live And Let Go”

Band: Everlost US
Album: Live And Let Go
By: M. Loop

Everlost US Album Cover

Jared Kay’s solo project Everlost is a well produced alternative rock effort. He plays all the instruments and performs all the vocals and does a fine job.

For fans of Coldplay and Keane the overall sound is polished and aimed at the youth indie rock market.

The songs focus on youthful relationship angst.

The album starts out with a very pretty instrumental “Breathe”.

“I’m Doing My Best” rocks out and has a very hooky chorus.

“Tell Them They’re Wrong” tells a story that is involving.

“These Terrible Hands” has a very nice acoustic guitar part and melody and is quite beautiful.

“Wait For You” has some nice unexpected chord changes and an interesting vocal arrangement.

This album shows a world of potential and I look forward to hearing this talented artist develop over time.

Small bio :
Everlost US is an alternative rock solo project formed by Jared Kay. Starting off in multiple bands, Jared learned the song writing process as well as every instrument needed to literally become a one man band. His first EP “The Hardest Things To Say” released independently in September 2014 debuting a sound combining potent vocal hooks, powerful drums and guitars, and melodic piano. He received praise from Absolute Punk, AXS Magazine, UnderTheGun Review and more. While writing and recording Jared focused on growing his presence in the local Orlando scene by playing multiple festivals and organizing benefits.
On August 6th, 2016 Jared released his second CD “Live and Let Go”. The release brought him to whole new level helping him gain high recognition from The Huffington Post, Big Takeover Magazine, Louder Than War, Indie Music Review and many more. Now accompanied by a full band, Everlost continues to grow their fanbase and create new music to release in the near future.
