Any band that placed a tune in the movie “Pro-Wrestlers Vs. Zombies” is on my watch list.

Screams, whiskey vocals and hard rock are on display on the album “ Die Another Day Vol. 1 & Vol. 2”. This outlaw rock band from the Motor City is walking in the footsteps of giants such as MC5, Iggy and The Stooges and The Amboy Dukes.

There is little question their next door neighbors moved out a long time ago because this is not music that goes down easy with a cup of coffee on a Sunday morning. This is bludgeon yourself in the head with an axe while watching a Rob Zombie movie on TV music.

With titles like “Black Swamp Bride” (a great tune), “And Then I Killed Her” (not healthy for lungs and throats – do not sing along unless you have health insurance), and “Outlaw Hellride” this is a band that wants to scare the bejesus out of you.

Vocalist Robert Libres is a strong front man, sweating vocally as you must if you’re from Detroit.

Guitarists Brent “X19” Hall and Peder “The Terminator” Seglund are rockers true and through! How cool to have “X19” and “The Terminator” set up right in front of you making your ear drums bleed.

Dana “Deadly” Forrester on Bass and James Trunko on Drums are appropriately straight forward killers on the bottom end of this maelstrom.

“Black Swamp Bride”, “Burn My Eyes”, “Last Tragedy”, “Leave Me For Tomorrow” (deliciously raw) and “Shadow Of A Thin Man” are highlights.

This is a band that will doubtless enjoy a bright future. Quality tunes, sheer commitment and power make this an adrenaline rush of an album.
