Tremendous musicianship and vocals are immediately evident listening to “Falling Back To Earth” by Daylight Robbery. Tony Nicholl and Mark Carleton play with a fluid and expressive guitar style and there is much emotion in Mr. Nicholl’s top tier vocals. The bass work of Colin Murdoch and the drumming of Rob Chivers lock down the rhythm section and are very high caliber as well. Keyboardist Dave Billingham fills out the sound with excellent technique and always complimentary tone choices.

I hear strains of Meatloaf, Mr. Mister, Journey, Survivor and Bill Conti’s work in the Rocky movies in the largess of the arrangements of the very creative songs that populate this fine album. These are big tunes featuring a fight for survival angst.

I particularly like the creative vocal harmonies on “Running Out Of Time” and “Samarah Never Sleeps”. “I’ll Be Seeing You” is a strong tune with a very catchy hook. The album is well produced and has a “sound” which ties everything together well.

If you like your stadium rock tunes played with a big sound and fierce passion, you are going to enjoy Daylight Robbery!
